After testing the principles of wind traction and solar propulsion on a prototype, Yves Parlier installed the equipment on his 25-foot hydraplaneur with its stepped hulls.  In doing this he was working with his loyal team at the Larros boatyard (Chantier Naval) (33).

With the beyond the sea® project Yves Parlier aims to develop kite propulsion on the 60-foot hydrplaneur, and to test out other solutions based on natural sources of energy.

The setting for a first demonstration is at the 70th Bol d’Or Mirabaud de Genève on the 14th June. Yves Parlier is the 2008 Patron of this nautical gathering.
